Inaugural Women in Work Summit Announces Sponsors and Partners

Maven Clinic, the world’s largest virtual clinic for women’s and family health, comes on board as the Headline Partner for the Summit on September 26th 2023.

London, UK: The Women in Work Summit, co-founded by Intuitive Events and Mariella Frostrup, today announced that it has signed up with seven sponsors for the event which is focused on closing the gender health gap in the workplace. Due to take place at Kings Place, London on 26th September 2023, it will bring together politicians, business leaders, HR practitioners and experts from across all industry sectors who will share their experiences and expertise. Five per cent of the revenue from the venture will go towards Wellbeing of Women, the only UK charity funding all of women’s reproductive and gynaecological health.

Women in Work Summit is excited to be joined by Headline partner, Maven Clinic; Gold partners PwC and Theramex, Silver partners, BSI, Chief and Mercer, Networking Partner, Hakluyt and Bronze partner, Randox.

Speakers at the event include policy makers, CEOs, leaders and HR practitioners, including Mark Read, CEO, WPP; Alex Mahon, CEO, Channel 4; Annaliese Dodds, Shadow Secretary of State for Women & Equalities; Dame Sharon White, Chairman, The John Lewis Partnership; Paul Pester, Chairman, Tandem Bank; and Pamela Hutchinson OBE, Global Head of Diversity & Inclusion, Bloomberg.

“The imperative place of women in our workplaces is unquestionable but the inequity caused by our differing biology remains almost entirely unaddressed. Women’s career-graph is impacted by our fertility ( directly and indirectly) and also partly dictates our earning ability, Everything from periods to pregnancy, maternity leave to pension pauses affect our financial progress and often necessitate less hierarchical and linear career paths. The Gender Health Gap refers to these poorer health outcomes that women receive compared to men. From menstruation, to fertility issues, parenthood and menopause, there is more than a correlation between women’s health and workforce participation. Employers have a crucial role to play in addressing women’s health. But without robust policies and strong cultural mandate, the failings will continue: women will leave the workforce and the bottom-line will suffer.

I am delighted to welcome such a diverse roster of valuable partners to the summit, who share our values and our mission to create a female-shaped space in workplaces, making them better environments for all genders. We’re committed to delivering world-class solutions to help employers better support all members of their workforce at critical times” said Mariella Frostrup, Co-Founder.

“It’s so heartening that we’ve secured interest from these businesses who are genuinely moving the needle on women’s health issues at work. To have these well-respected sponsors, speakers and partners on board cements just how business critical this issue is, and how seriously businesses are taking it. 400 attendees will get to hear from the global pioneers in this space” said Laura Biggs, Co-Founder of Women in Work and CEO, Intuitive Events.

Maven Clinic, the world’s largest virtual clinic for women’s and family health, is joining Women in Work Summit as a Headline partner as modern employers are increasingly investing in women’s and family health benefits as part of their talent attraction and retention strategies. Through Maven, more than 550 employers, including more than 100 companies with employees in the United Kingdom, provide their teams with 24/7 high-quality personalised care throughout the journeys of fertility, pregnancy, parenting, paediatrics and menopause. Maven Clinic’s founder and CEO Kate Ryder will participate in a fireside chat at the Summit, providing actionable insights for global employers who want to create healthier and more inclusive workplaces.
