The housebuilder’s Marketing Manager, Meg Vincent and Sales Administrator, Millie Welch spent the morning volunteering at the school, supporting ‘The Fresh Face of Frisby’ project.
During the session, the team cleared overgrown vegetation surrounding the school’s pond area, removed moss from the surrounding decking and carried out general gardening and maintenance work to prepare the space for fresh bark and future landscaping improvements.

The volunteering day marked the first activity under ‘Allison in Action’, Allison Homes East Midlands’ year-long programme that sees employees dedicate time each month to supporting charities, community groups and local organisations close to its developments.

The school was chosen due to its close proximity to Allison Homes East Midlands’ Auster Meadows development in Rearsby, where the housebuilder is delivering a collection of 65 energy-efficient one, two, three, four and five bedroom homes on Gaddesby Lane.

Ellia Townsend, Marketing and Communications Officer at Rise Multi Academy Trust, said: “Rise Multi Academy Trust is incredibly grateful for Allison Homes’ support through the ‘Allison in Action’ initiative. It is a fantastic example of how businesses can connect with and give back to the communities around them, creating a positive and lasting impact.

“The team’s helping hands at Frisby C of E Primary School have made a real difference, helping to transform the outdoor spaces and create an exciting environment ready for pupils to enjoy when they return. We’d like to say a huge thank you to the volunteers for their hard work, and we look forward to exploring future opportunities to work together.”

Karl Edwards, Managing Director at Allison Homes East Midlands, said: “Launching ‘Allison in Action’ with ‘The Fresh Face of Frisby’ was a fantastic way to begin the initiative. It was brilliant to see our team getting hands-on and helping improve an outdoor space that pupils can enjoy for years to come.

“Creating communities goes beyond the homes we build, and we’re looking forward to supporting many more worthwhile organisations across the East Midlands over the coming year.”

Throughout the next 12 months, Allison Homes East Midlands will continue to support charities, community groups and local organisations across Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire through the ‘Allison in Action’ programme.
