LWA STRICTLY COME DANCING RAISES £4500
Living Without Abuse (LWA), a local domestic abuse support charity, is delighted to announce that an amazing £4500 was raised from their recent Strictly Come Dancing Glitterball fundraiser.
Since September 4 local novice dancers have been coached by 4 experienced dancers to Cha Cha, Tango and Jive and then perform to a packed audience at the Glitterball Finale which took place 2 weeks ago.
Through a combination of sponsorship, ticket sales and bar/raffle sales a grand total of £4500 was raised which will go to support local vulnerable people impacted by domestic abuse and/or sexual violence.
Special thanks go to:
• Regular Strictly sponsor, the Rotary Club of Loughborough

Emily Corrigan, Head of Fundraising and Strictly organiser: ‘Each year we say this event can’t get better and each year it does! The standard of the dancing was amazing – we are in awe of our amazing novices, and to raise £4500 is fantastic. We are on the lookout for both novice and experienced dancers for 2025 – so if anyone fancies taking up the challenge please contact me at [email protected], you won’t regret it.’
