NYPD Arrests Nine at ‘Let Women Speak’ NYC Event Outside City Hall

Kicking off “Trans Awareness Week,” the final stop of Standing for Women’s “Let Women Speak 2022 USA Tour” was evacuated early due to extreme violence from trans rights agitators yesterday.

Upon arrival at New York City Hall, event organizers were confronted by violent men, including members of Antifa. Thirty-five women’s rights activists were able to gather, but many others, including Keen, were prevented entry by hundreds of trans rights activists trying to tear down the barricade around the event.

What started out as a modest police presence quickly grew to approximately 50 members of the NYPD, among them members of its counterterrorism unit, which is indicative of the extreme lengths the far left will go to to silence women speaking out about the ways gender ideology directly harms them and their children.

While women spoke of male rapists currently incarcerated with women in American prisons, trans identified males climbed over barricades, shouting slurs like “bitch,” “cunt” and “dyke” to the group of women, including lesbians, sex assault surivors and seniors. Among them was Anthony Martucci, AKA “Amara Xtravaganza” – a trans-identified male and member of famed Drag dynasty House of Xtravaganza, regularly featured on Ryan Murphy’s FX drama ‘Pose’. Martucci climbed a barricade and shouted to women, “I will beat your ass… I will fuck you up…. These hands do not discriminate.”

Also present was actor and self-styled “intersectional feminist” Matt McGorry, ironically known for his role as an abusive prison guard who coerced a female prisoner into sex in Netflix’s ‘Orange is the New Black.’ He is seen on camera shouting “TERFs go home.” “TERF” stands for ‘Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist’ and is a slur trans rights activists and Antifa use to dehumanize women in order to make it socially acceptable to be violent toward them.

Among the many assaulted was K. Yang, a former trans rights activist turned LGBT non-profit whistleblower. Assaulted in two separate incidents, the NYC native’s hair was violently pulled by a man who is later caught on camera threatening to doxx women and masturbating. Also assaulted was an independent journalist who was hit with a pie from a stand set up by Antifa. In an incredible effort by the NYPD, at least nine arrests were made.

Yang, along with fellow local organizers Amy E. Sousa and Amanda Stulman worked with police and private security to keep the permitted event going as long as possible, but the NYPD was forced to end the event early. Martucci was among the crowd of trans rights activists who stalked women on the way to their cars, at which point he was caught on film spitting on them and police.

“Trans rights activists continue to be the very best advertisement women could ask for when it comes to highlighting the violence and misogyny at the root of the insidious cult that is gender ideology. That they chose to begin ‘Trans Awareness Week’ with assaults on women – among them seniors, lesbians and sexual assault survivors – is just the cherry on top of the misogyny sundae that has been the Let Women Speak 2022 USA Tour. – Kellie-Jay Keen, Founder of Standing for Women.

The event was the last of 10 stops in Keen’s Let Women Speak 2022 USA Tour, which acts as a public record of efforts by American women’s rights activists to inform the public of direct conflicts between gender ideology and sex-based rights. Each event was filmed for an upcoming documentary produced by Standing For Women.

Topics covered on the tour included the medicalization and mutilation of children, the impacts of Self ID policies on single-sex spaces (prisons, rape crisis centres, locker rooms, etc), the removal of child safeguarding, the erasure of homosexuality, and fairness/safety in sport.

Keen has hosted dozens of Let Women Speak events across the UK, most recently in Brighton with hundreds in attendance. In addition to verbal abuse, trans rights activists hurled smoke bombs at the speakers and their supporters. At least three arrests were made, including one man carrying a bag of knives.
