South Lodge Care Home Unveils The Secret Garden

South Lodge Care Home proudly announces the opening of its latest addition, The Secret Garden.

This serene outdoor sanctuary is designed to enhance the well-being of memory care residents with a nurturing and stimulating environment.

The Secret Garden is a vibrant space featuring sensory experiences and communal areas where residents can engage in therapeutic activities.

With thoughtful touches like solar lighting, cosy throws, and unique elements such as a washing line and antique mangle, it’s a haven for relaxation and reminiscence.

The garden took several months to develop, reflecting the care home’s commitment to creating an extraordinary place for its residents.

Donna Bradley, Home Manager at South Lodge Care Home, said: “The Secret Garden makes such a difference for our residents. It’s a sanctuary where they can enjoy nature and meaningful activities.”

Resident Sarah Monks enthused: “I love spending time in the Secret Garden. It’s such a peaceful and beautiful place. It feels like our little haven, and it’s wonderful to have a space where we can all come together and relax. It’s become my favourite spot in the home.”

There’s more blooming on the horizon! Plans are underway to add a potting shed, allowing residents to grow seedlings and engage further with the changing seasons.

South Lodge Care Home, located in Leicester and part of Avery Healthcare, is renowned for providing high-quality care services tailored to residents with memory and dementia needs, offering 99 spacious bedrooms designed for comfort and well-being.
