FANTASY FANS FILL DRAGON-SHAPED HOLE IN THEIR HEARTS WITH TONGUE-IN-CHEEK

Fans of one of the world’s most popular fantasy series were surprised this morning with a tongue-in-cheek pop-up outside the Tower of London.

Tourists and locals indulging in the light-hearted atmosphere were offered the chance to ‘claim their dragon’ via the popular mobile game Clash of Clans.

The game’s developers, Supercell, nodded to the popularity of a certain white-haired royal family to say ‘You don’t need platinum white hair to claim our dragons’ as it promoted its legendary game, which has been downloaded over two billion times.

Fans flocked to the pop-up to claim their own Baby Dragon, with passersby reminded that dragons are very much still taking flight (just not every Sunday night) in Clash of Clans. This message was also reinforced in a new video posted on Clash of Clans social media channels.
