Announcing… ‘A Day In The Sunshine with Beans on Toast & Friends’.

Cult folk hero Beans on Toast is launching a brand-new summer party at The Kanteena in Lancaster. Taking over the venue on 30 July and promising a full day of music, sunshine and good times, the certified festival favourite will be joined by an array of musical pals for this one-off event at the bargain price of £20.

As well as a performance from Beans on Toast himself, the day will also feature boom-bastic folk-punk from Newcastle’s finest Holy Moly & The Crackers, high-energy beats from King and Queen of circus-rave Slamboree Soundsystem, charming Kent-via-Papua New Guinea folk duo Xylaroo, soulful indie-pop songstress Minverva Daisy, acoustic fiddle duo fun from Bristol two-piece Razzomo, timeless soul-funk from Newcastle’s Tommy Arch and much more.

Music will start from 3pm with performers taking to the outdoor stage, before moving into the venue’s warehouse as the night gets going.

Speaking about the new event and how it came to be, Beans on Toast says:

“The Kanteena in Lancaster might be the best new venue in the country. It’s a warehouse, a festival, a music venue and community space wrapped into one, and it’s run by some top folk. I played the venue on my last tour and thought two things: 1. there should be more places like this, and 2. I wanna come back and play here in the Summertime.

So that’s what I’m doing! I’ve asked some friends to accompany me, and they happen to be amazing bands and acts guaranteed to make this one hell of a summer party. As well as the music, there will be food trucks, fully stocked bars and ice lollies.”

With food stalls, fully-stocked bars and feel-good vibes guaranteed; A Day In The Sunshine with Beans on Toast & Friends comes to the Kanteena, Lancaster on 30 July 2023.
