Matchtech & ITN Business: Securing Opportunities for Future Generations.
It’s well known that there is a skills shortage in STEM industries across the globe (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) and as the STEM recruitment partner of choice it’s important to us at Matchtech to encourage the next generation of talent into these really exciting fields. The are many opportunities out there for young people who have the skill sets and interests required, they just don’t see them as STEM, skills such as coding or digital design fall firmly within STEM. We work with employers such as EasyJet, NATS and BAE, all of whom are looking for these and many other transferrable skills in their workforce.
To this end, we partnered with ITN Business News, New Scientist & STEM Learning on World STEM Day (8th November) with a digital news programme ‘STEM: Securing Opportunities for Future Generations’. Anchored by TV presenter Michael Underwood. The programme explores STEM’s contribution to building sustainable economies and demonstrates best practices in recruiting the very best talent, explaining how the education sector can work with industry to encourage the next generation to fill STEM roles.
The Matchtech feature film will be airing on 14 November 2022, but in the meantime get involved with us, as we look for STEM advocates to help change perceptions of engineering and attract young people to STEM: https://bit.ly/3zSbVro.
Get in touch with us to discuss further opportunities ahead of British Science Week and World Engineering Day in March 2023.
