EMMANUELLE KHANH present the Solstice campaign for AW22
For this Autumn-Winter 2022 campaign, Artistic Director Eva Gaumé, tells of a moment suspended in time and invites us to travel out of the metropolis of Paris to a rural setting that is most dear to her heart.
In the French countryside, two hours away from Lyon where she grew up, Sephos is an intimate local town that has captured the precious moments of her life; weekends of adolescence spent reading to fight the boredom, or local adventures and happy celebrations with friends and family that have imprinted this place throughout time.
This space of freedom, the space to breath, welcomes a collection more distinguished than ever, and signals the return of the House’s jewellery monogram.
An impactful contrast that communicates the ambivalence embodied by the contemporary creations of Eva at the heart of the collection: a strong and sensitive femininity, natural and sophisticated, both stylish and ostentatious, classic yet colourful. A contradiction like a solstice, the warmest or the coldest, or the shortest or the longest day.
“I like to cultivate this very emotional connection with the House, both in the image and in the collections. This idea of a woman collector, of yesterday and today, is built a little more each season. I wanted to revive the EK monogram of the House’s vintage frames in a contemporary vision. The excessive size of the logo marks a femininity that is fierce, precious and versatile, and becomes more than a symbol, a sign of belonging.” – Eva Gaumé
Directed by James Tennessee Briandt, SOLSTICE is part of the artistic collaboration highlighting the new creative impetus of the Maison Emmanuelle Khanh, starring this season’s muse Anamaria.
