The K’S & LOTTERY WINNERS TEAM UP FOR NEWTON MUSIC FESTIVAL
The K’s and Lottery Winners are set to wow fans at Newton Music Festival in The K’s hometown of Newton-Le-Willows on Saturday 3rd August, alongside a select billing of other rising and hotly tipped North West bands and artists.
Appearing alongside the two North West big hitters will be The Rolling People from Stockport, Meduulla from Manchester and Asian Blonde and Malarkey, both also from Newton-Le Willows.
Newton Music festival will be The K’s homecoming event on the back of a recent UK number 3 debut album entitled ‘I Wonder If The World Knows’ which was released earlier this year and proceeded a sell out album tour. This included appearing at the near 4k capacity Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, before they embarked on a raft of summer festivals including playing to a 12,000 strong crowd at Glastonbury’s iconic Woodsies stage.
After winning the ‘Best Newcomer’ award at the recent Northern Music Awards, the Earlestown-formed 4-piece add the Newton Music Festival headliner slot to a host of remaining UK and European festival line ups. These include mainstage slots at Reading and Leeds festival in August and the Liam Gallagher Weekender in Malta this coming September.

Lottery Winners, hailing from neighbouring Leigh and appearing as invited special guests of The K’s, have gone from strength to strength after hitting the number 1 spot with their last album, Anxiety Replacement Therapy. They sold out the O2 Apollo, Manchester in three weeks and are also midway through a festival season full of main stage slots as well as playing a host of arena tours supporting Nickleback, Rick Astley and Noel Gallagher.

Ryan, guitarist from the K’s said “We’re all absolutely buzzing to be playing our hometown for the return of Newton Music Festival. Heading back to the park we grew up on it’s gone full circle. The line up this year is class and the support we’ve had from our town so far has been unreal, we can’t wait – see you there!”
Thom, lead vocalist with Lottery Winners added “Not only are The K’s our good friends, they are one of the most exciting bands out there at the moment, when they asked us to support them as special guests at their hometown festival which is just down the road from us it was an absolute no-brainer”.
